I drove a little over 120k paid miles and grossed around 84k. I could definitely make more if i tried

There also seems to be a difference between my actual gross and my federal gross. My federal is only 79k

All I will say is I grossed less than 2023 but had more profit. So I’m not complaining. My fuel cost was 42 cents per mile. The parts discount at Peterbilt is nice. Not having to pay tolls is nice. Cheaper insurance is nice. Not paying trailer rent is nice.

Health insurance? Most companies take out any health insurance costs before calculating your tax deductions.

@runningman0661 are you going to leave the blue stripes on the nose so we can spot you better? :D

Dropped off my load of mowers today in Joliet and grabbed the only empty they had. When I got it, I noticed the tandems were still in a riding position and not all the way back. Oh well, saved me 32 seconds.

Headed to Wabash as pre planned for a load to Hastings that I’m dropping in CB.

Go to slide tandems back to load. They are stuck. Loaders said they would work around it. Go to back into dock and hit that big bump they have and tandems slide. Great, slide em to back get loaded. Pull out and go to set their position. They won’t lock in. Monkey around with them and get them manually engaged. Definitely going to be leaving a note on the trailer for CB to work on. (There is a chance with temps in Teens and low 20s possibly frozen, but to find the trailer in the position I found it in says otherwise.)

When you’re building up that much ice driving down the road why wouldn’t you just park? Seems easier that getting into a pileup.

How much out the door? I'll probably run my truck a few more years before I sell it. I am about to buy some land in Tennessee to eventually build a house for now going to just live out of a camper.
