I may be out of the woods from this next winter storm. After i deliver to Savannah tomorrow morning, I’m to deadhead all the way up to Clinton, SC to pick up what appears to be plastic totes or something going to Shelby, IA. It says it’s a broker load but it also says it’s a drop on the other end so who knows. But that should keep me well clear of all the nasty stuff expected across the south

 

Unloaded my steel coil a day early in Brenham to get ahead of the weather. Reloaded in Georgetown TX with stone for Roca NE. Georgetown went much smoother this go around now I kinda knew where to go and accepted that no one speaks English.

Gotta leave early to try to beat the snow!

 

i would highly recommend leaving as early as you can and not stopping. This is tomorrow at 9 am and it’ll be an absolute #### show

i just picked up a load to wilmer for friday i dont think imma make it. ok,tx dont treat there roads, i stated my concern, was told if so i can deliver monday if needed 4 days on a 650 mle run...

 

All the highways in Dallas have been treated. I drove through there yesterday and txdot was out spraying and you can see the streaks from the salt solution they use… Now whether or not it makes a difference is a whole another story

 

They actually have plow trucks? That’s a shocker
