Not long ago I delivered a Great Dane trailer from Wayne Ne to SLC. Boy that was interesting running an MT through High Wind Warning. I was like surely they wouldn’t mind us delivering something to Utah first then dropping off the “new” trailer… lol

I did have to shut it down a wait a few hours at one point.

ya, roll paper stock or Ford Dodge load would be nice in some cases.

Ok I need another head to verify an 8/2 split issue.

I’m trying to get to Fremont for a Shop visit before they close at 1000 Tomorrow… if I get loaded soon I will be an hour shy of getting there tonight to shut down on the Yard.

so… looking at an 8/2 split

I drove 3.5 hour earlier and just completed a 2 waiting to get loaded. Then I’ll drive another 7.5 tonight and take the 8.

after the 8 will I reclaim the 3.5 from this morning or have nothing available because I drove 3.5 + 7.5 today?

I’m thinking I won’t have anything to use after the 8 so it doesn’t matter what I do I’ll be an hour short without any way to split to get there before they close.

I think I’ve gotten myself all confused. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    thanks

That part still confuses me. I swear I’ve tried to do an 2/8 before and didn’t have anything left after 8 when I was expecting something.

I guess I’ll see what comes of it after an 8… or now it’s even a 3/7 but this driver needs his beauty sleep… ya ya ya… more than I get obviously… lol ;-)

I’m sitting in Savannah Georgia and heard about that wind issue and all the warnings. I guess those trucks missed that memo.

Had good day all things considered. Met a couple newer FCC drivers and got to chat a bit which was cool. Saw LongFLD at Fremont but didn’t get a chance to say hello.
When I was running from South Sioux City to Fremont I came on decent size metal part (2’x2’ approximately) lying in the road. I took to the shoulder and got around it then pulled off a ways up the road and ran back and moved it off the road. I passed a hotshot about 20 minutes later with a matching part on the front of his trailer and a Kawasaki Mule with a shattered windshield behind it so I think I know how that story plays out. I probably should have stopped and told him part of his load was 20 miles back but yeah.
The sky looked pretty ominous when I left Fremont and it got to be a bit of a wild ride ran through hail and what seemed like giant slushballs mixed with heavy rain along with some pretty impressive wind then came out of the other side and ran into a dust storm. Fortunately it cleared up just before I got to Crete. 40k in the box so that will hopefully settle things down a bit.
