    i’ve talked to Mike a couple times but nothing’s been agreed upon or signed yet. My truck would have a buck 30 on it if it weren’t for the fact that it was in the shop for 5 months total.

    So here’s the current state of affairs: My days may have become numbered here. I am not happy in my truck, and haven’t for a long while. I’ve been trying in vain to rectify this for the past several months but it all seems to fall on deaf ears. Something has to give and since the company won’t, unfortunately i have to. I wanted to lease a truck mainly because i wanted the experience of running my own business, but a little bit of it was to get out of this truck i’m in. Then i realized really quickly that there’s a near 100% guarantee that i’ll be stuck in another Freightliner for the next 3-4 years, and i’ll be ###### if that’ll happen.

    I applied to another company earlier this afternoon (i won’t mention who but it’s not Creep Carrier or Magnum like i’ve hinted at in other threads), and the president of the company called me back a couple hours later and we had a good 20 minute conversation over the phone about various things. I’d be running a lot of the same areas i am now, although more Houston and less Dallas. They also run to Des Moines, Denver, and other places in the region.

    I’d like to stay here since i love the company as a whole but FCC’s recent actions, or rather inactions, has really soured the idea of me staying here long term.

    I will end this by showing what i found in one of the prospective company’s newsletters. Maybe FCC can learn a thing or two from this company. IMG_5048.jpeg

    That’s the problem with most mega’s. Whether it’s 200 or 2000 trucks they are all about the same when it comes to fleet trucks. I’m glad you’re not pulling the trigger on a flease. You’ve said yourself you have zero bills. Save some money and when you’re ready to be a real o/o go buy a used whatever you want to drive.

    Just for a heads-up I did talk to interstate power their price for a inframe rebuild is $14000-$16000 which Is actually reasonable whenever I need one.

    I just found out last week that the 401K match has been canceled a while ago and the pay is froze. Ive talked to jett Trucking and Bancroft and Sons.

    The only thing that made me a little weary. Is they go to post office DC in Newark New Jersey it's literally right across the river from New York City

    I’ve looked into Jett Trucking but…nah. If i wanted to haul a reefer around, might as well join the Shaffer crew with @supersnackbar
