The heat/cool cycles are being done outside (I'm guessing due to the fact we have weed burner exhaust and they don't have a way to vent it outside - plus each heat/cool cycle takes a while and he has to raise the rpms to get it up to operating temp quicker). It has been raining and storming most of the morning, and is supposed to be rainy most all day, so who knows when this will be done.

I think it can sense my bitter hatred of Freightliners and is purposely trying to make my life miserable (or maybe I should say, more miserable)

When I was with dynamic, I went through four trucks in a year and had four major breakdowns that lasted more than a week… And they have Peterbilt’s…

I wish I could have my 579 back. Yes it had a PACCAR motor but it was made before all the injector problem years. Besides for a small DEF issue around 460k that required a 2 hour trip to Peterbilt in Council Bluffs, it was a solid truck

As much as I disliked SPD's Volvo as far as comfort, I had some stuff fixed when I first got it, and it had some issues right before I quit, but in between, it was fairly reliable.

I think of a lot of this emissions crap was removed from these trucks. You’d see a lot of these issues go away… This DPF and def system seem to be causing damage to the rest of the truck

To be honest, I am glad I have fewer days in front of me than I have behind me in regards to driving a truck. As much b.s. we have to deal with now compared to 20 or 30 years ago as far as equipment and regulations, I would hate to be just starting out doing this because it's only gonna get worse.
