Was chatting with my DM while the third truck was being unloaded. He said CSR just called them to see if they could get us processed quicker. At that moment the Driver starts to pull out. I said “dang that call was effective!!!” … lol

and THEN, I was on/off the dock in 20 minutes!!! Not sure what the CSR said but I own someone a cup of coffee back at the mothership.

Since I'm O/O now, I have no incentive to be put back on the OTR board. In fact, the longer the length of haul, the lower your pay per mile. Plus I get to stay close to home and able to swing by the house frequently. I also avoid any real nasty places, and diesel is insanely cheap on SWR lanes vs the rest of the country

You can bet it had something to do with how much they were gonna be charged for delaying FCC equipment (and it's driver)

Got to CB yesterday about 15:30 and checked in at the shop. They were slammed so the truck didn’t get in until 5 or so. Got it back after 10. Apparently it needs steers but they didn’t have time to get it done, so I am waiting for them to put a pair on before I head to Freightliner for a hood at 8. Still don’t have a good answer for what is up with the replacement headlight (the marker and DRL parts only work some of the time and are pretty dim when they do work). It could be the harness is damaged or it could be the aftermarket headlight they used is no bueno.

Delivered in Van Wert, Ohio this morning, another O/O was there with a load someone screwed up. He picked it up at the CB yard the bills showed it going to Casa Grande, Az. and Ontario, he brought it up to dispatch, they assured him “nope it goes to Ohio.” Well needless to say it doesn’t, and now I’m headed to California for late Friday morning.

She looks a little funny but everything works now. By the time I got the truck back from Freightliner, waited an hour or so for the planners to plan and then ran back over to CB to pick up and clean an empty it was closing in on 5 PM so I made the command decision to shut down for the night and start early in the morning tomorrow.
