If I am good on time, I will stop in the middle of the day for a shower or nap....or both. Last time was at that newer Loves off of the Ohio Turnpike (I-76) South of the Youngstown area. You could drown standing up in that thing. Same with the Flying J at Elkton, MD. Nothing like getting your hide powerwashed in raw steam to reset your attitude. There have been any number of times I have stopped for a shower or lunch, ran almost 700 miles, and STILL had about 2 hours (more or less) left on my 14 at the end of the day.

Does the cruise actually work? Those Vacuum servos, and transducers were a weak point.. for pretty much ALL the 70's domestic cars.

I remember the ‘77 Dodge Monaco that Rosco drove. I don’t remember that one.

I'm not sure. I do know the cruise on my 75 Caddy works (i don't have it hooked up right now since it's staying strictly in town for now). The speedometer jumps around though so the cruise is jerky as well

and yeah all the vacuum lines are insane. I had to replace most of them when I took my carburetor off because of course all of it was 50 year old rubber and it would just snap in your hands

that could've been the case. The 77-78 Fury's and Monaco's shared the same platform and basically looked the same

    Random PSA.

Check your license plate screws. One of mine backed all of the way out today, and is gone. I noticed it walking back to the truck from the shower tonight. I’ll deal with it in the morning.

Your transducer might be failing, or either of the speedometer cables could need lube. Probably both.

The large headed screws FCC uses are self tappers. Had to get creative with it.
