Please, if this were happening to you, you'd be raising hell all the way to Tonn if you had to. It isn't hard to see a pattern. I need an experienced dispatcher, not someone just starting out. I am tired of being on the trainee's fleet. I saw a lot of that at Crete years ago and over the years, no matter what company I was with, what I am seeing fits the pattern and is no different than what I had with the last one. He may well end up being a good dispatcher, but I can't afford to wait until that happens. In fact, in the last 4 months, I haven't seen any of the positive changes you described prior to me coming back. To be bluntly honest, much of what I am seeing from Shaffer is worse than how it was the last time I was here. The only positive I have seen is this truck has managed to stay on the road for 4 months with very few issues (only a few glitches with the emissions system that cleared themselves after a few days)
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

You can use the phone when driving, hands free, no texting. If you're involved in an accident or incident they'll want to see phone records. Being on the phone when the accident happens doesn't necessarily mean you're fired. Being on the phone while in yard move or drive line on the yard/store or a few other instances does mean your fired. None of the phone rules are that difficult.
Micromanaging is for drivers that screw up. I don't ever hear anything from managers. I get paperwork for the load, day after day go run them and never hear a peep from anyone all week long.Last edited: Jul 15, 2025 at 5:29 AM

Why do you think they said this??…nobody has ever said that to me when rejecting loads..there has to be more to the story and all than what you’re saying… we all have our bad days and bad weeks in this business. It’s just the nature of life in this business, but for them to sit there and flat, I’ll tell you that’s the best they’re going to offer you. There has to be a reason for them to tell you that…hope not dumb twucker and ElmerFudpucker Thank this. -
