It’s optional except for the reasons Runningman stated, that said the safety manager will ask very nicely if you would volunteer to have it turned on ( he doesn’t push if you decline) also as a company driver you get a 2 percentage point boost to your rating for volunteering to have it turned on which could make the difference for getting an annual raise if you’re on the edge.

    McCauley and runningman0661 Thank this.

IMG_4946.jpeg Showed the driver the missing stud and how the others were getting ready to go. He stood and looked at it for a bit and walked away. I tried calling his safety department, but got no answer. Then I realized it’s a white Volvo from Illinois, so….

Screw his safety department, I'd call 5-0 with his truck/trailer description and numbers and company name and DOT number. A tire or two coming off rolling down the road could kill someone.

I looked up the DOT number before he deleted the pic and they have a 33% OOS on equipment inspections.

I suppose, but I don’t think he wants to drive any more and his medical situation was the final straw.

DonRobbie, cdavis188 and Knucklehead Thank this.

After I deliver this load in Houston this evening, I'm basically going around the corner to grab a preloaded trailer for Omaha

I'm delivering to a grocery DC, and a Kroger one on top of that. I'll eat my own stinky shoe if I'm in and out in under 4 hours. It's the Gellhorn Dr location

    DonRobbie Thanks this.
