After all this, I am done for the day. I told dispatch that I was tired and going to bed and will scale it out in the morning. The night chimp said I needed to scale it today and have it reworked because I still have drive time available...I told him what part of I AM TIRED don't you understand, it was 100°+ all day today, and these POS Freightliners can't keep up..SAFETY FIRST AND FOREMOST my ###. I told him that if he wants it scaled today, either send someone to pick it up, then they can take it to Cali...or he can come down here and scale it himself.

While some of this was definitely caused by shaffers inability to plan, the outburst was more about wildly unpredictable customers, "drivers" that shouldn't drive a golf cart, and just the all consuming nature of this job.

Also, my truck is warning me that my DFP is almost full, but it won't let me do a manual parked regen. I am about 1 more problem from parking it and retiring. Driving a truck has lost all it's appeal to me.

Winston was also the one ..who pushed for and got...reduced shop hours to be open...saying it would be more productive ...don't think that's working out so good...with how long it now takes...to get a simple A or B service done

That's how I just lost a week in Raleigh, NC. Truck finally went in to Engine Protection shutdown for a "full" DPF but wouldn't regen.

Just keep the name of that customer in your load records that you keep and anytime they send you a free plan for the place. Just turn the #### thing down… There’s a few places on my list that I refuse to go to anymore

@supersnackbar as far as that stupid message about the cell phones that’s Tim Ashchoff pushing that and my opinion on that is… We can go blow it out as you know what because anybody with any kind of brain knows that charging cell phones that isn’t gonna do anything as far as a vehicle batteries is concerned… He sometimes lives in a bubble world where he has no idea about reality on a lot of stuff that I’ve seen… as far as that idea of him saying all that I just ignored. I’ve got a whole bunch of stuff charging in this truck and I’m gonna continue doing all that regardless of what he’s gonna say

When I was messaging back and forth with numbnutz in Ops last night, I told him, based on my weight, and the appearance of how loaded my trailer tires look, I would estimate that my rear tandems were carrying 37-38000. He messaged back "how can you tell you're over if you haven't scaled it". I told him 30+ years of experience and common sense. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to deduce that it won't be over on the axles when putting 44300 lbs on a trailer, loaded to within 3' of the doors, then having to set your tandems at 40' for Cali. He still tried to push me to have it reworked yesterday until I offered to have safety explain to him what it means when a Driver says he's tired. Then he had an amazing idea, scale in the morning and have it reworked...geeez, I wish I would have thought of that...oh wait, that's what I had been saying I was gonna do all along. However, it turns out, I was wrong...it wasn't quite as tail heavy as I expected...but #### close
