Also what's with all the messages suddenly about saving fuel, setting the temp correctly for opti idle?? Are they really saying in summer time peak that we should set it to run as little as possible on hot, humid nights?? Have these people ever stayed in a truck overnight in the deep South???

to be honest what’s even more laughable is the sticker that’s on the wall in the trailer… Do not load 38,000 pounds or more payload past this Mark… Just more proof that too many people in society can’t read

I watched on one of the YouTube videos last night and they’re claiming that fuel keeps going up in price… I find that to be 100% unadulterated BS because fuel prices are dropping with the exception of certain areas like maybe California…

Hmm worried about fuel prices but won't slap a apu on the side so we can keep cool without idling?? Maybe not loading truck so heavy would also save fuel ?? Hauling 41k through the hills of Tennessee and Kentucky sure burns a lot of fuel.....

For me personally, I don’t care how often the truck has to idle… I stay comfortable in the truck. I ignore what they say… I keep the truck set inside to the temperature. I want to keep me comfortable…

Me too just saying how they think we can save fuel when it's hot out the truck is going to idle more regardless....and I also leave Opti set to cool down the truck when I'm inside the truck stop......why should I have to come back to a hot truck ???

When Deland's #2 sends out his regular idle reduction message, he says "precool your truck before shutting down for the day", along with use a fan to help circulate cool air, plus all the Lincoln ideas. Like we aren't using the a/c going down the road. Plus, days like yesterday, that wouldn't make one bit of difference. The truck would run for 15-20 minutes, shut down for 5-10 then start again. Even with my insulated window shades, it couldn't keep up. They can pound sand as far as I am concerned.

I do. And if he ever calls me to complain directly, he might be slightly offended by my language and attitude. He's a bit of a "richard" and we only get along as much as we have to, we'll never be BFFs
