4 pre-hires. Who to choose?

All 4 of these are decent places to get your foot in the door, but HO Wolding is the best out of these four. It's the smallest company in your list, so they'll treat you more like an individual instead of a number... Prime would be my second choice. Their trucks are slow but they have legit fuel bonuses there.

 

Agree, HO Wolding. They pay practical miles and have good accessorial pays. Also have good benefits and retirement plan.

If you are doing regional.

Should consider Conway truckload if you are wanting northeast regional they pay an extra 5 cpm up there.

 

I'd actually consider running 48 for the first 6 months or a year to get some experience in preferably less congested areas.

ill recommend Roehl also, they have been a very good starter company for me. im just over 2 yrs now.

I also agree with a year of national, the northeast is very tight , busy and stressfull.
that said, just take your time, do it right, and don't let anyone rush you

but if Wolding had wanted me, I would have gone there. every driver ive spoken with loves the place.

 

Nice to read good things about Roehl, I'll be flying out to Marshfield to start orientation this Sunday. After training, I'll be on the 7/4 7/3 fleet out of Philadelphia.

Spent a month (got my CDL four weeks ago) coming thisclose to a few local jobs, which in the end decided they wanted experience. I'm glad I got things squared with Roehl, which sounds like one of the better places to start. I don't mind slip-seating, I'll be flexible if staying out longer is needed (actually, I'm already thinking I probably should have gone the regional 5 or 6 days out, 34 - 48 hour home route, but I was told I can switch to that in the future if necessary), and I'm very happy with the good home time to start.

Just have to get through three weeks of Wisconsin weather!

I'll likely update my progress on the forum as things move along.
