What did you get for Truck Driver Appreciation week?

$40 tip from a customer. Wasn't expecting that...

 

Well I can assure you it sure as hell wasn't Walmart!

 

$100 from the company I sub-contract to. A $15 Subway card, a hat and a shirt and a nice busy profitable week of work.

 

A 6 day work week with 8-9 loads. I can't remember exactly. Three days off this weekend. I'll take it as this is the biggest fair in the area to close the summer out. Going to be a good weekend.

 

A 2¢ per mile raise for every driver at my company.

 

Piss Jugs

 

7 hour wait for roadside trailer repair. (Badly wrapped pigtail shorted in thunderstorm, no real trl lights. Yippee)

They did all kinds of stuff at the terminal... but drivers drive.

 

13 hours on a greyhound

 

A big jar of Vaseline

 

Couple of Tshirts at 2 different TA/Petros and a bag of snacks.
At one Pilot/Flying J, walked into the shower and they had a bottled water next to the towels and a sorta personal note from the shower attendee.

Could have sought out more things by being in the terminals, but pretty much kept out on the road.
