I just started driving and am trying to find out whether or not i can bring my tv and xbox along with me. My company doesn't allow inverters hooked directly to the battery so i need one the i can just plug into a 12v. Only problem is I've read that an xbox one should have at least 2200watts to safely operate and i keep seeing that inverters plugged into 12v only generate 100-150w. Also I've read posts of guys claiming that they have 400w inverters just plugged in and running heavy loads just fine. Not sure if it matters but I'm driving a 2012 international prostar

Tv, dvd players, even smaller laptops run fine off of a plug in inverter. The xbox, I can't say because I have never used one but there should be a power rating on the thing somewhere that would give you the power needed to operate it.

I doubt you can run an xbox one on a cigarette lighter inverter.

Assume it works still need to run TV as well prolly too much to do both.
Should have found a better company.
I don't know why all companies aren't outfitting all their trucks with invertersHalpinUout Thanks this. -

Or even better....read a book.
MrsWJAA Thanks this. -
Also i was wondering if each 12v plug is independent or if they typically run off the same fuse

I highly doubt that an Xbox uses more power then a microwave or hair dryer. As much as some of you play. The power bill would be in the $1000 range.

Xbox use about 200w, cause I just goggle it for u, tv, I'll guess another 200 but pretty sure it's less. Get a 500w inverter, and there's no 500w 12v inverter in the market, only 150-200w.

There's 400 watt invertors that plug in to the 12v socket. Those can be found anywhere, including walmart. It's what i've been using my entire 5 years out here.
I once had a multiple plug extension cord. Plugged tv, printer, laptop, cell phone, roku, and one of them aroma heaters. Total wattage for everything was 200 watts. Tv was 65, Laptop was also 65.
When i came out on the road 15 years ago. 200 watts was what i had, 400 was expensive and required battery connect. That 200 powered my tv, satellite, cell phone and laptop. but i had to choose between running the satellite and charging the laptop.
