This question is what really gets to me on these forums. I run the speed limit and everyone feels that is too slow for them. But maybe you can tell me because I have a speeding ticket on my record from years back, is there a secret handshake or a secret trucking club to get into that expempts certain truckers from breaking the speed limit laws?

Is that was swift teaches to use cruise in work zones?Do you also use cruise while men are working in a construction zone?Do they also teach not to be respectful on the road? Why didn't you slow down, and let JCT in?Just because the speed is 60 where you was at in that work zone does not mean you must do 60..You seen all those trucks in the left lane racing to pass you so why didn't you slow down and let all them pass? You see the left lane about to end, a construction zone is the most dangerous area to focus on who's the worst driver, just let them in.Scottie you act like you do nothing wrong. If you wanted to pass me in a construction zone similar to this one I would have slowed down and let you pass and not make a huge deal out of it.From what I'm seeing in this video is it's all about me attitude and scottie isn't going to slow down no matter what.I'm going to maintain my speed and if they hit the barrels and crash oh well I was doing the speed they were not.

Clearly u need to re up ur med card, u don't see jct trying to force his way in? Making scottie take the shoulder just so he can pass?

It's sad to see drivers like him having to rush all the time just to make a shiny penny. Maybe if he got a good paying job he doesn't need to rush just to feed his craphole.

that is all true but defensive driving means accounting for idiots doing idiotic things
otherwise you would have an accident everyday for all the 4 wheelers cuuting you off to go up an on ramp
so you backing down is the only proper response

It is clear that the op and some of the responders do not have any knowledge about defensive driving

If you go back and watch, I did slow down and let JCT in.

No need to slow down from the actual speed limit, these drivers passing you see were exceeding the speed limit. JCT in particular had to be breaking the speed limit law in order to show up on my dashcam since I was already going the speed limit. If you go back and watch, there was a sign reading Left Lane Closed 1/2 mile ahead. At 60 miles an hour that gives JCT less than 30 seconds to execute a clean pass in that distance before we run out of room. I never expected him to do the stupid thing and hang on like that when I had the clear right of way, the proper lane selected and proper speed. The onus was on JCT here to slow down and tuck back in behind where he belongs. He loses nothing by going the speed limit, not sure what people like that expect to gain by taking such risks..

I gotta say I'm kinda shocked by your response here, yesterday your post was all about how none of this was my fault and this morning you're all over me like I'm this dangerous driver.

JCT had all the onus to back down since he is the one in the wrong lane after seeing or should have seen 3 signs leading up the zone indicating Left Lane Closed Ahead. Add to that I was going the speed limit, for him to exceed the speed limit to transfer the responsibility to me to rectify the situation is ludicrous.
