I'm not that motivated to go and tag every post, it's Monday.lol But myself and a few others have already said everything you stated in your post. Do I think you should have to drive 200+ miles to get a good load out of Birmingham, AL, nope I don't, but the "system" was discussed in great detail, both pros and cons.

But to answer your question about Bama.
I've been successful in north Bama.
Tenn not so much.
Tenn is full of hazmat freight an I've yet to see any of it.
It's honestly just hit or miss.
The only way I'm able to put loads together is by running loads nobody wants. An usually those are dead areas so I have to bounce.
Yea sure I could stay around the house an run loads there but at 500-600 bucks on average an you're only getting 2-3 of those a week just won't cut it for me. -
One of them being if you don't pre book then more than likely you will fail here.
However, it makes it very difficult to pre book when there isn't any loads to pre book. An I'm the loads that are available to prebook usually are 300 miles away or 2-3 days away.vangtransport Thanks this. -

An it's driving me up the wall that I can't put the pieces together like I'm used to doing. Im gonna give it some time, I can't really speak on something that I haven't placed time an effort into...at the end of the day either it's for me or it's not.
Lot of guys make it at mercer a lot of em don't but I wouldn't necessarily say that the guys who don't make it just "don't know what their doing" or "they didn't pay attention" ...sometimes certain things just won't work for certain people. You just pick yourself up and move on.
I didn't come to mercer to make more money, I came to take away a lot of responsibilities...but I think anybody here would agree with me that even though my responsibilities are as bad since I'm leased on here, but if I can't make money then I may as well pick my responsibilities back up an find the nearest exit. Lol.CJndaTruck and whoopNride Thank this. -

I have to take JACQUESI23 side on this. I have screen snap shots of the garbage freight (or lack there of). I have also seen loads on other load boards that pay decent from mercer...but never made it to the Mercer load board. In fact I have witnesses...and screen shots.
I know there is the "cool kids club" that get freight that never makes it to the board. I already caught it red handed a week ago. I mean "hands in the cookie jar" caught! Please spare me the "learn the system" response.
If freight and rates were so great they would not have the over %50 turn over rate every 6 months.
I find it further funny that some of the fanbois of Mercer chose to argue with a legit owner operator (JACQUESI23) that had his own full authority that recently came to Mercer.....and sniffed out the BS he put up with. I am guessing Mercer promised that they had the freight, the lanes and rates to make i worth while. So why is a very recent O/O pissed. Obviously JACQUESI23 isnt a dummy.jacquesi23 and Klleetrucking Thank this.
