That is pure BS. The math does not work. Try again. More lease purchase lies and stories from the road.

    It is a joke.

The first lesson is learn how to run a business. The vast majority of drivers dont know squat about running a business. Perhaps they were good drivers. But that is not running a business. This is where the fleece purchase carriers cash in. On the ignorance of the driver. They prey on it and take advantage of it.

People posing in front of a truck is no proof. Like I said in my reply above.....the carrier has to allow a certain amount of people to actually get a truck. By the way some carriers have used recruiters ( who never spent 1 day on the road) to pose as drivers to pose in front of trucks smiling with a follow up article on "how they run their business and paid off a truck of their very own."

Its not about lease purchase hating. Its about understanding how it really works and what a rip off it is. This is like someone telling you they go to a casino and play the progressive slot machines for a living. WIll someone hit the jack pot....yes....but not after hundreds of people play it with the same hopes. Get the point!!!!

Listen, I cant stop people from falling for these medicine show scams.

Work for a good paying company, get the benefits, insurance etc and enjoy. Leave the scams alone.

I was just kidding - maybe I laid the sarcasm on a bit thick.

It never fails to blow my mind how drivers are so totally eat up by the idea of lease purchase.

I know trucking is a high risk business as it is - but falling for these LP programs thinking they'll be the 1 in 50 that keeps their head above water . . .

$4612/month excluding truck insurance from the OP's figures.

At $1.20/mile you have to run 3843 miles before you pull a cent to the house, excluding fuel.

Sounds like buying a job to me.

I never get tired of these threads lol, and moglar has been saying the same thing for aslong as I've been a member on here which has been over 2 years. I know not long but still. I have never been able to understand why some guys get so emotional about another mans business and what he decides to do. I've got a good question, who cares? @MOGLAR has always gotten his panties in a bunch everytime someone mentions LP lol. Its great

What it comes down to is the driver, there are drivers with paid off trucks at transam making .84 cpm but it works for them. I may not agree with it but its not really my business. Everyone has different situations

There are lease purchase scams and there are some honest companies where if you run it like a business, you will finish the contract and own your truck. I went with a lease purchase because although I paid my bills and have excellent credit, I could not save $10K for a down pyment. The lease purchase made it possible for me to own my truck---twice.
