Only the northeast edge of IA. I came down thru Clear Lake then Cedar Rapids on the Ave of Saints all the way thru MO and it was nice and warm. Didn't get windy until somewhere between Hannibal and St. Louis. This is just the beginning, all the way thru Monday the map of the center part of the country is purple. My phone's weather widgit says Paducah got up to 91 today..

I think they were talking about 39 north and 90/94 west through Wisconsin was very icey.....
An exact quote is "if your planning on going west or north, you need a Zamboni"

Well I am going to be about 3 hours late to Jamestown. Hard packed snow in Eastern Montana. Don't want to drive that at night. I don't want to be putting chains on in sub zero temps and at night. Will tackle it at daybreak.

Made a delivery in Bismarck yesterday and the traction control on my truck went crazy over a little tire spin on some ice. The whole truck started acting up and it was driving like it only had 9 gears then it decided to act right and it went from 1100 rpm to 1900 in less than a second. It had enough torque to make the rear passenger side drives smack the bottom of my trailer and took a big ol chunk out of my new drives I got last month, now I'm driving around having to listen to a clapping noise and rocking side to side because of the uneven tires.

Just curious, does your truck have the auto shift? I'm assuming so based on what I read but I could be wrong. This could have ended way worse, tires can always be replaced. Safe travels to all you Magnum drivers.

That's what IN uses to plow roads with...or at least that's how it feels sometimes

Stopped at the Paducah Pilot last night. (And I was shocked to find a parking spot). Got up to shower and roll out this morning, and while I was preping my stuff to hose down, what do I hear over the store PA speakers? Not country music(in KY no less), not popular modern crotch grabbing hip/hop or pop music, not even classic rock...but the blues...this might end up being my "go-to" truck stop. It's nice to see a shift manager who enjoys playing what the silent minority of truck drivers like me like to hear.

Nope, I have a stick shift. I think being empty at the time this happened probably saved my tires and truck from any more damage.

Just a little FYI...our fuel cards don't work at the recently converted Wilco-to-Pilot stations...or at least not all of them. Stopped in Resaca GA (I-75 x 319)...tried to use it, said "exceeded limit - fuel". The building says Pilot...the store says Pilot, the kiosk says Pilot, but I guess their computer must not be converted yet.
