Not sure how that would work out. I'm not an expert in legal killing of people but I imagine you'd be testing the definition of self defense in most states if you shot a scumbag in the back while he was running away?

never said id shoot them in the back while they were running away but i would shoot them or not shoot at all.

probably where he ended up in trouble is if he shoots a warning shot it would indicate that he was not in immediate danger at that moment in time therefore illegal to fire a gun within the city limits by the local law. the second i saw a gun pointed at me though it would be open season. weather they were driving away in there car or not. but in this guys case that was after the fact of when he had already discharged his firearm.

just my take on it im not a lawyer

You ever hear that old cheerleader tune, " Ra Ra Ree..... shoot 'em in the knee.....Ra Ra Rass...hit'em in the other arse." Just MHO. Great post, good find tho.

    it'
it's kind of an odd story. Fired warning shots as they were scattering but unable to fire when they came back and fired upon him. Probably not willing to shoot to kill which I can understand I guess.

True but then it would be attempted murder charges. Held without bail. Bankrupt from legal fees. I prefer "dead men tell no tales"....or "dead men can't testify"
