Sitting in Grand Island, NE for the night. Windy as hell today across Nebraska.
I deliver in Warren MI Monday.... so 2- 450 mile days and I'm set.
Pick up Monday in Napolean at Keller and drag that up to Bloomington for Wednesday...

I have been on the Independant Truck Stop tour....my last 4 nights are:

Arrowhead in Pendleton OR
Little America in Wyoming
Bosslemans in Grand Island, NE tonight (I know... it's a Pilot... but not a corporate store)
Might have to go to the Greater Chicago 55 tomorrow night to keep the streak alive!!

 

@mattbh23 O's are playing the Yanks this weekend in Baltimore!!
Buy the cheapest standing room only ticket and wander around and 'find' a seat!
Or take a bus to D.C. For the day. Tons of free stuff to do there...

 

Must be a slight slowdown on weekend freight. I'm part of the delayed reload crowd as well. I deliver Sunday morning, and don't pick up until Mon afternoon headed for Ohio.

This truck feels weird without all my stuff, and the Carrier unit seems noisier without the extra junk in here to absorb the sound, and of course I am on my 2nd load with a continuous run setting.

 

Ah, time for the swansong then...well at least you're lighter and can haul more fries lol!

 

I'm set for home time starting April 15th! That'll be 8 straight months on the road. As of right now, I've got 3,200 miles for the month and I should be at about 6,500 once I deliver my last load before home time. My next paycheck will be my first one completely on my new pay rate, so with 6,500 miles that should be exciting! I've never been preplanned on 3 loads in advance all at once. Thats pretty cool! The first time I took home time that didn't happen.

If they ever get me up that way. Current load is Half-n-half coffee creamer 34-38°. Next load is ?? with a 60° set point. It does leave me some room to haul a Napoleon Campbell's load since I am going to be in Solon on Wed.
