They have free laundry, a monster sized TV and recliners in their lounge, but I still wouldn't want to kill 7 days there. :D

Why would I want to hang out in a trucker's lounge when I have this lovely sleeper cab where all my stuff is and I can sit around in comfort in my underwear? :D

Anyhow, I've already talked to my DM about it. Either they're gonna see if they can move the delivery appointment up or they're gonna have me drop it in the Ellenwood yard. But they won't know exactly until tomorrow.

Hey JB, just in case you were losing sleep worrying about it, I rolled past your truck today and all looks well. ;)

Rolled into the Workman's truck stop at exit 35 on I-40 in Arkansas. It'd been raining pretty hard, and I rolled in with 1 minute left on my clock.

Got parked just in time for an EXTREME WARNING TORNADO ALERT for the area. Went inside to get some grub. While I was deciding what to eat, the folks who worked at the truck stop told us we all had to go into either the restrooms or the showers because a tornado had been spotted less than a mile away.

So I got to spend 20 minutes standing around in a truck stop shower with a bunch of complete strangers. It was a unique experience, one I have not previously had in my life. I mean, you READ about that kind of thing in certain parts of the Internet, a bunch of strangers sharing a shower and all. But this was the first time it has ever happened to me.

It was nothing at all like what the Internet had led me to believe. I am tremendously disappoint.

Sounds like things are gonna continue to be moderately hairy for another few hours, but the worst of it seems to be over. On the bright side, my truck was not flung across the county, which is good because that's where I keep all my stuff.

We all kept a very respectful distance and tried to avoid eye contact.

Do any of you know if Schneider would be ok to start with? They want me to sign a contract but I will pay that back by working 90 days for them.
