When I was there, if I had a load, then I would secure my trailer...if I didn't have a load, then I wouldn't. And if I were on the other side of the coin, looking for a trailer, and someone had one secured because they had a load, then I wouldn't have any problems with them doing that.

I always wrote a note saying that this trailer is assigned to my truck 1645. Never had a problem. Just stuck the note on the plug jack.

Lol well now that trailer especially if it’s an 18 would be long gone.

We had a driver who brought a load into Gaylord on a new trailer, he needed truck work and since his pickup was also out of Gaylord he asked that they reload his trailer and gave them the info, they said no problem.

Well another driver noticed the trailer, grabbed it, had it washed out and live loaded it...and of course the shipping team didn’t notice anything amiss until the yard dog went looking for the trailer to wash out and reload.

Lol we definitely need to up our 2019 trailer purchase.

I had a driver pry off my airline lock and take an empty I had parked while my truck was in the shop. The Shop Manager told the owner it was his lock and the trailer was unsafe to drive. They called him back into the yard and I got my trailer back and he got fired. Paybacks a biotch sometimes.

My personal belief is if I want to keep my trailer I won't drop it. I'll walk to the building. My mobility may be a bit limited, but I won't lose the trailer. I also don't believe in sabotaging other people's locks though. I would also respect a note saying "this is my trailer".

Honestly it’s one of the reasons I go to Rogers more frequently now...that and the infamous lounge bathroom after certain drivers use it ;)

I had to wait till 1330 to get a trailer from MB, messed up my D&H, late del and probably gonna miss my next load, AND drove all night trying to make appt so now I'm on the night shift! Though about airline lock, but now I'm thinking kingpin lock. Thanks for the advice.

Back in the day I would flatten a tire or two so nobody would snatch my box, no pun here.
Hook up my gladhand air line to fill em when I was ready to go. Never failed
