    Hello,
I been trying to do what you want to do as well! I determined on my own to apply and then inter-state. You need this to get your SSN?.
I am 50% and greater and I have gone to Helena MT USCIS and went to apply, but I didn't have a Blood Quantum letter. I did have all the other documents. The Ancestry letter from the AANAC(INAC) wasn't enough. I was applying for greencard/citizenship and made my case as I told them my plan as a business owner in truck driving and wanted to inter-state and return to Canada with loads, they were impressed with my plan but without that Quantum I couldn't apply, they were gonna start my application but I waived that. So, I thought by getting this done I would be able to inter-state loads under my own business.

Being a North American First Nations native actually has everything to do with it; see my prior posts re: "Status Indians" and "Jay Treaty."

Only time I used my Passport to enter the US was when I flew back from Asia, land border I use my status card/treaty Card.

I'm still waiting on my Blood Quantum letter.

I have finally got this down. I'm native American born in Canada, I have my SSC.
You need a birth certificate (long or short version & long version for a green card) 2 government ID, passport, a letter from your band stating you are at least 50% American Indian, a letter of genealogy from Indian affairs - INAC, and your status card.

Pretty sure tribal status does not change passport requirements. However, it is possible I am wrong. Verify with the US DoT and the Canadian counterpart. Do not trust what you read here when it comes to important legal issues like border crossings.

Dude native Americans are cool I'd love to date one again you gotta sister? Looking for a girl to run with me... I know that was slightly off topic. I'm just saying I'm young in great shape good looking my heart is with native American girls I'm not even from America bbuuuttt are DNA goes back to the same place...

And as for your question if your a Canadian citizen your a Canadian American lol reentry over the border is not native lands it's USA baby two different animals youd have to get a green card or something but plenty of Canadian truckers come the usa. Getting citizenship is easy too just hop the border and get a job like the Mexicans idk or marry someone from the USA I know this works and I'm willing if your sis is ok with it lol I'm a big joker don't be offended but yeah you could could theoretically enter USA as a driver from Canada and find your tribe and Bata Bing Bata boom they take care of you
