I’m sitting at Wilmer, and usually there is one totaled truck sitting out back. There are 4 of them.
I also have been watching the new young hires taking their road test.
    I feel for the trainers.

So got people netted. Planning on a 34 so as not to have play with paper logs
Stupid question # 1 do you have to go on duty to send or view messages?
#2 By downloading and signing in to the app did I just give dispatch 24/7 location data for my phone?
Not getting much help from the terminal

Before you leave the terminal that services your truck, have them print out a paper copy of your last 8 days.

If you had hours of service in the last week, doing a 34 will not make you legal if you do not have a record of your last week on the truck.

If you have already left the terminal and are not near another terminal, call logs and compliance to ask them to send your last 8 days by email to an email address you can access by smartphone or laptop in your truck.

I send and view messages while off duty, no problem.

I have not installed the app yet. I have enough apps on my phone.

I did get the logs printed. Wanted to send a message without going on duty and can’t seem to get the “home” page. Somehow I’ve become the old guy who can’t work a simple piece of tech.

On one edge of the device there are four buttons that are not easy to see except in very good lighting. The top button is the power button. The next down is the home button.

You don't have to be on duty to send messages. As far as logs, if you ever need them (say your unit takes a dump and you're nowhere near a terminal) you can download them right to a smart phone or tablet(or laptop if you have internet access).

During the week after Peoplenet install, you won't be able to access the last week's Qualcomm logs except if you have tem emailed to you by logs and compliance department, or have paper copies.

You can access logs from the Peoplenet app? Is that what you are referring to?

    Yeah, tried those.
I was stuck on the load info screen. Entered a trailer number and “n/a” for load info then “certify previous logs” and submit. Now it lets me go to home.

    Farmerbob1 Thanks this.
