Older post....but did you ever get your body cam? I'm looking into them online, haven't decided yet but have narrowed it down to 3 different manufacturer/models. All three work as a body cam but also clip on your visor as a dash cam. Like 6 to 8 hrs on a charge, one is almost 10 hrs, and of course you can leave it plugged in or use wirelessly.

I've been using a bodycam clipped to my hat for point of view style videos for over 3 years. I film every weigh station and inspection and had a problem only once, the officer claimed privacy invasion down in Florida ag check.

As time goes by law enforcement is getting more comfortable about being filmed.

One would think that they'd certainly mind their p's and q's if they know they're being recorded.

But that didn't stop the officer from losing his job over nurse harrasement last year. I"m not sure if that whole ordeal made national news or not.

    What make/model do you use?

Is noticeable to you on your hat? I mean is it actually comfortable to wear.

    Thanks!

Yeah but ur talking about the one percent of the time it might come in handy.. The other 99 percent is just gonna show the driver taken a mean #### and gobblin down food all day long and spankin the chicken in rush hour traffic..... Always carry the green book with u at all times if dot has a problem with what ur doing and u know its legal , show him the book and show him where it says whatever ur doing is legal

The one where the nurse refused to give the information the officer was demanding and the nurse ended up getting arrested? (spoiler alert, the nurse won but it wasn't pleasant for her on the day in question). Yeah, it made national news.

No thanks. I tend to embrace technology, but I really don't have the time to earn a living and deal with recording everything going on around me. I just don't have the time nor desire to do so...I also don't spend 2 hours a day making videos for YouTube with anticipation of being called by a Hollywood producer proclaiming I'm the next super star of the film industry.

And it's wasn't "information" in the sense that "What is your date of birth". It was an intrusive medical procedure the nurse refused to do, that by law she could not do.
No, I'm sorry she went through that, but for everyone else that the department was bullying, I'm glad she stood up the their trying to force her to break the law.
