Craigslist ads are just easier to keep running - we would run ads when I was in the office even when we were full. Carriers will always make room for great driver. Trucks are easy to buy/rent, great drivers are hard to find.
I asked My boss why we were running ads and processing applications even though we didn't have any open trucks that week. He then asked me "What are the chances another John/LBD/JP/Lisa (Top Tier drivers at my company) is going to be looking for a job at the exact same time that we have an open truck?"
IDK if that is the situation with May Trucking, but at the end of the day, if you are running that many ads, its just as hard and time consuming to turn them all off as it is to just keep them running on schedule.
Why not avoid a bad company ?

And calling out companies who outright lie to truck drivers is admirable, but I'm still of the opinion that advice from drivers who aren't in the Top tier at a company is a waste of time. I could give you my opinions on why 31 NFL teams are going to suck this year... But that opinion might mean more if I was a successful NFL GM.
For every 100 nasty posts from failed drivers about (Insert Mega/Micro) Company, there are 10 silent drivers who figured out their system, and are making good money there. It should be better, but it is what it is. Those are the drivers I'd like to hear from. Maybe it's just me...
I am going to edit that post to remove the @Tag for you, because while I started with a reply to you, it sort of became a different post. I'm still feeling like there is a bitter resentment in your post that is being aimed in the wrong direction... but regardless... you're right. I am being unfair. I am judging you without knowing you or your life experiences, and that's not right. My apologies. Really
And yes, I did spew a lot of words in that post, I got lost on a few tangents, but the big take away I think was this:
