Can you verify the comment about “pretty much all companies.....driver facing cameras in the future”? Is that what they told you at orientation? What are you using to justify that comment?
Central Oregon gotta be the best .

What's with you guys not running headache racks or APU's? How do you stay cool in the summer?
-
I think some of their newer trucks are getting APU’S. One of the COTC drivers that picks up glass at our yard just traded to a newer truck with one. Otherwise, their trucks idle as needed.QuietStorm Thanks this.

No headache racks to save weight. I can scale almost 50k on my truck which surprised me.
-
Yeah some have apu and no that is the downside they only idle at 76 degrees or higher or 15 and below you get a bunk heater which works pretty good but if it’s 75 or 74 in the south and humid as hell lemme tell you it sucks
this dosent happen mich tho I’m rarely in the south east and we do have windows in the.bunk I usually turn key to left and high blast the fan blows a little bit of wind
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
How many miles you getting a week? An average week??QuietStorm Thanks this.
-
Well, since I just started over here, I'm averaging somewhere between 2500 and 2800.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

How long you been working here that seems a bit lower than normal for me and mind you when I started hell it was even better than now 32 to 35 with a reset miss those days I think it’s because I take 12 to 15 hour breaks they don’t like that but hey I’m always on time so they can’t complain haha
-
Literally, that number is about the miles for my first week. I'm still trying to fight my way out of the recaps they have me running since orientation. Today seems like a good day for a 34, since I woke up with 3 hours left only. So this will be my first 34 with the tarp company.
Going to fix my tarps if the wind in Wyoming dies down for a little bit, otherwise I'll just organize the truck.
Edit: doesn't matter to me that my first week is only like 2800 miles, still about 1500 or something paycheck.Last edited: May 17, 2019
