    The horror!
There was nothing worse than merging on an interstate in the 62mph truck and finding myself with 2 other similarly governed trucks. I’d usually take the next exit and try again.
And if everyone is governed at the same speed then almost everyone will be staring at the back of another trailer all day instead of what’s way up ahead of them.
And then they’ll be the rubes that run a few miles an hour slower so they can have the open road ahead of them, but they’ll be constantly slowly passed and cut off all day long.

Rocks, D.Tibbitt and frito bandito Thank this.

No one will get anywhere because trucks will use all available lanes to pass at a differential speed of 0.25 MPH. Dam the torpedoes, all ahead SLOW.

I’ve driven in 49 states and all but one province of Canada and GA is near the top of the list above CA for douchebag drivers and they are probably hoping to stop the carnage. Do I agree it would help. No, probably not. I’m of the opinion that multiple speeds only make things worse.

Yeah I’m not a fan of GA either. Driving 75 all the way through to FL was always one of my least favorites

My personal top five worst states to drive in are GA, MI, TX, WI, CA, and TN. Minnesota is a close sixth.

I’ll spec 255’s on my next truck, get the governor set, then swap the drives out for tall 24’s and I’ll be able to pass everyone.

Just another display of lawmakers decades beyond their understanding of how Trucking has been limited.

Sure limit every truck to 65. While you are at it limit every car to 65 as well. Our roads will instantly become a series of clogged arteries approaching failure. I live in a land of 75 to 85 mph speed limits (If you get far enough into Texas...) and people fly at 90 mph in the Arkansas morning to get to work... your 65 mph truck best be off that highway and out of the way for that time.

    Rocks and bzinger Thank this.

Just another way that the ATA and the Megas want to “level the playing field”.
