you get a few days off, with out pay. but don;'t be fooled into thinking that it is a mini vacation..some companies give you the day off at thier convince, never yours. so you could work a monday, be off tuesday, be back wed, thru, fri, and be off the following thursday....
some companies suspend you the one time, if you muck up again, you're fired. either way this all goes on your permanent file at the company, and they very well may inform a new employer.....at which time, that new employer may just file your application in the circular file.
How do they suspend a driver?

I worked for a Company like that. Always covering their ###. Violations, were normal for everyone. A suspension was always over the weekend, While already at home.
D.Tibbitt and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
I have thought this through very seriously, and know the perfect remedy, set your adaptive cruise at 57.5 mph in 70+ mph and 49.5 in 55 zones, your company will never have to suspend, slap back of your hands for being a danger to the motoring public by going 68 in a 70.
Don’t worry about the traffic behind you, that’s back there and not your problem.
As for “waking up tired” and jumping behind the wheel, if you don’t think your fit to drive, you probably shouldn’t or they’ll suspend you for that too.
Just tell them “I’m the captain of that ship, I don’t tell you how to run this company!” Hm maybe thats why I bought my own truck a few years ago?
One ex-job said something along the lines of, “Being let go for verbal abusive assault on a manager & supervisor..” But I trained 5/7 employees and after I left they are now down to 3, 3 others left when I did, and I thought the days of drivers sticking together were over.
Moral of this story, find yourself a real jobEuropeanTrucker, Lepton1 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Buy a set of JBL eon one self propelled speakers I guarantee you will be in the groove and not in a fog I carried them for year's on tour .
I used to give them away for free, rock on.
Just break down the tweeter stack down and plug into your converter and Bluetooth , you can buy me a beer later.

Past time to leave that company. My company says the same thing but ... they only “say” it at orientation though. I coast up to 75+ every day and I have never heard a single thing about it. I know my drive cam goes off all the time but again I have never heard a single thing about it. I talked to my company about it and they said if your a good driver you have nothing to worry about. I did drive for Roehl for about a month and yes , total comedy of stupidity. Little girls in cubicles constantly watching drive cams to catch you at everything. Good by Roehl. When a company is sassing you fire them quickly. There is better out there.

I don't care for these kind of supposed safety features, even for new, never pay attention to anything drivers.
In a few years when all drivers are used to this just get dependent on it, there will be malfunctions and some drivers will smack someone, just because the machine did not do their job for them.
There will be some that can't get their feet off the dash fast enough. lol
Anything can and will malfunction at some point.Lepton1, FlaSwampRat and Rubber duck kw Thank this.
