Moral of the story is 3rd party warranties are a joke. Unless it’s factory warranty then your just pissing in the wind.

I could make it work if I could drive where and when I wanted to.
See, that's the rub. It's not the rate per mile, its the waiting on some douchebag to give you a load.

Indeed. Next time I know to fly home if I ever have a major engine issue again. Could have saved myself a couple thousand bucks in hotel costs.

I don't believe I've ever claimed 1.37 was anything special. I didn't lease my truck onto Crete for the money, I leased to them for the consistent miles and the ability to learn about o/o without also having to learn everything needed to do all the parts of the job, all in one go. However, if you have solid miles and run almost exclusively drop and hook, 1.37 a mile will pay the bills.

I believe that this qualifies as a learning experience :D

Well, I’m glad it’s over for you. The laws of averages always prevail. I wouldn’t worry about worst case scenarios, you just got through one. Like I said in the beginning, it’s not over till it’s over. I know that all too well. I blew a head gasket, last week, heads got to come off, so it’s time to OH, along with bull gear, radiator etc. I think you got off cheap, it could have been worse. I’m not looking forward to spending the $$, but am already looking forward to the peace of mind. I wish you the best.

Good luck, and I hope your gremlins didn't do too much damage that you don't know about yet!
