Why does unloading with reefers take so long?

Glad i do flatbed . 16 hours of sitting i could not even imagine. U guys is dam near taking 34 resets in the frickin dock . Crazy. Where do u get food? . In flatbed if some "breaks down a pallet" it means the forklift doofus dropped it on the ground and it broke.

I’m salary and have a fridge so I give zero chucks how long I sit cause I’m still getting paid.

when I was mileage, doing me like that was the equivalent of sticking your twig and berrys directly in the hornets nest, and shaking it back and forth lol

Most loads that I bring to Costco has only one PO or item number. That's why they are efficient with unloading. I wish all warehouses to it this way but that's wishful thinking

same, I just delivered to them last week. my issue is getting there early and still being there 3hrs after my appointment before I even bump a door, but once I do, it’s in and out faster than your local hooker hand job.

Most customers aren't large enough to be able to tell the people they buy from that YOU WILL DO IT COSTCO'S WAY or we will stop doing business with you.

Costco loads are likely arranged exactly how Costco wants them, so they can simply pull a load off a truck, examine it briefly, and then store it.

I wish WalMart would consider efficiency as much as Costco does. I rarely deliver to Wally World DC's these days, but when I do, it's a pain.

Agree, Salary is the only way to go. Self sufficient on the truck. Paid to be there on time...

Paid to sleep, paid to eat, paid to breakdown and paid to wait, plus the company pays 100% of your benefits and you have a new truck with a fridge, opti-idle and a bunk heater, and paid XM radio......not a bad gig at all.

Ive worked for companies that claimed to be way better but offered way worse and less......so far shipex is a have to for you guys changing companies.

1150 a week doesn't sound to bad for a first year driver but i wouldn't go otr for less then I'm makeing now tell them to add a couple more hundred dollars and I might consider leaving my couch
