RQ could be any amount, I’ll tell you what, um, this guy I know did, keep grape/orange Powerade, afterwards pour that around, if they ask “Wtf Is this spot?”
“I spilled my drink while unloading.” o_O
Then ask for trash can to throw bottle away.
Could work for fueling too, I suppose.

Well gasoline evaporates so I you wipe up the top layer of liquid and about 5 mins later.. “what spill are you talking about”. But diesel you could have a problem on your hands but depends on the amount

Just put sand on it or an absorbent, sweep it up and be done with it.

but that said. If you slipped and fell then it is another issue altogether.

    The answer is:
A reportable spill is any amount above what you can cover up and hide before a tree huger sees it and reports you.
I know many people who have followed this guide line with great success so it has to be legit

There's also the "shovel test". If the spill can be covered up with less than five minutes of shovel work it's not really a spill.

I started smelling fuel driving on l-20 an got close enough to get it on my window, called out to driver on C/B that had run over a recap that I had to change lanes to miss and had torn off the fuel cross over line that trucks had years ago and pulled over behind him and found he only had one cut off, so one tank was dumping all its fuel on the ground, l had 3 5gal. buckets hooked on my headache rack, we took turns holding the big funnel so we could keep from spilling more fuel pouring into his other tank when it got full he said we would pour it into my truck but it was red fuel so it took many full ups to get the red colors of my tanks, he was full of fuel so it took a lot of trips back and forth to get the 150 gal. tank drained and it was hard to find a stick that wasn't rotten that we could drive into the half of the broken off threads in/side the tank, but we got it done and l thanked him for the fuel and he thanked me for the help and went on our way?

Hose popped pumping off a chlorinated solvent in a downpour...receiver said 'what spill, I don't see any spill'...took the end and pushed it back into the hose and switched it with one of the suction hoses and pumped off the load...

customer pump and 3" hose that was a tiny bit egg shaped. it dripped and the trainee was glad to learn that slowly closing the QRB till the drip stopped was the thing to do.
