I made a big mistake and left my fuel card in another truck. I'm due to recover a truck tommorow, so I'm already on the road with another driver, hundreds of miles away from the yard.

What can I expect when I call the company tommorow morning? Is there any way I can get fuel without the physical card?

I'm wondering why the fuel card was not in your wallet, along with your CDL and other cards?

Pull the card out of the wallet and slide it through the reader, then insert back into the wallet.
How did you manage to leave it in another truck?

Most places still take cash. And credit cards. Most 1 hose places still take checks, unless yer near civilization.

Do something silly, and pay the price. Consider it tuition.

Also I think you can add your fuel card to Pilot app as well.

    Hulld and Atthattime768 Thank this.

It might depend on which fuel card it is. I left my Comdata at the fuel desk of a mom and pop in Georgia one time. Didn't realize it until I was in Texas. Turns out they have a process where you can report the card lost and then buy fuel with it without having it, which also deactivates the card so noone else can use it.

All I had to do was go to the fuel desk each time and tell them I was wanting to buy fuel while I was on lost card status. They'd do some computer stuff, make a phone call, and I was good to go.

Meanwhile the mom and pop mailed my fuel card to my home address, and when I got it, I just had to call and remove my card from lost card status so I could use it the regular way.

Now, the company I lease to has its own Comdata department, and I dealt with them the whole time. Your mileage may vary if you have to go straight to Comdata.

    Brettj3876 and Atthattime768 Thank this.
