I just never have responded well to someone who thinks I need to bow down, I’m here to haul freight, not suck up and beg.
One guy paid $100 so they’d load him without an appointment, said there was no Freakin way I’d pay to haul their freight.
I’ve now made a phone call, to same broker who knows how that place is, I’m loading now in Jonesboro AR to Rolla, then tomorrow delivery, then a reload in MO to Crashville, Sat delivery, but those two will be 1500 more than that one load she thought I’d beg to haul.
What if it Snows?

Well, unload complete in Commie Annex East, only had an hour left to drive west so I didn't get far.
Parked at the Pattersonville SP on the wb Thruway. 650 miles to the yard.
At least the restrooms are open here.

Day 3 sitting at the yard waiting to get a PM done. Apparently the yard dog drivers were switching red tag trailers to the working trailer list and then dropping them in docks to be loaded. Someone figured that out so now the shop has to work through a huge backlog of red tag trailers, which of course has priority over tractors.
If I was a manager here, I'd be working on a system to predict work flow for the shop so drivers could schedule work a day or two in advance and keep running, instead of being required to wait until they don't have a load and then waiting. But what do I know, I'm just a dumb truck driver.
I don't hang out in the driver's lounge because all I've learned there is that the home daily guys get really mad and threaten to quit if their load puts them off their usual schedule by four hours.
Not upset but I could've spent a couple days at home helping pack for the move. I'm so bored that I'd be happy for a load to downtown Denver.Last edited: Sep 9, 2021

I didn’t give anyone a good cussing, but I did get the final words in, “I just can’t deal with ignorance.” Before shutting the door and driving off.
Now I’m at sonic eating, noticed the gal that brought food was someone I went to school with, but can’t remember her name, which made me feel bad, as she remembered me.
But I pretended to remember, A for effort?SoulScream84, JolliRoger, DrFlush and 7 others Thank this.
