so my wife was sick and she went to the dr on sept 1st. she was found to have covid, my kids also had it. so i had to quarantine with my family sept 1st. my quarantine will be over on the 15th with return to the truck on the 16th. i didnt develop serious symptoms until sept 5th. i would say the worst part this for me was the 104 fever i got when the fever peaked. the rest of it has been occasional diahera, aching joints, dizziness (mostly with that hot fever). the fever started out at being 102.5, i would take 4 Tylenol and it would go down. i feel asleep on the couch one night and when i woke up it was 104, the very worst.... it took over an hour to bring it down. i have also had a decent amount of congestion and phlegm. was this pleasant, no not really but i have been much sicker with influenza. i think keeping people out of work for over 2 full weeks is disruptive. i am on the upswing and feel like i could have gone back today. the recovery rate from covid is 97-99.75 and they treat this like it's ebola, which had less then a 50% recovery. they have used it as a political tool to alter an election, and have completely messed up an economy.... destroyed many small business in the process. anyone else get this, and being most of the drivers that come here are likely OTR...... did you make it home (i hope). i just parked the truck and went home.
anyone else here get covid

As I stated in THIS THREAD post #23 I was told last Friday I tested positive. So far I am 100% asymptomatic and hope to stay that way

@ad356 - were you and your family vaccinated?

I would just like to reiterate that ALL Kentuckians are welcome to quarantine at my compound should it become necessary.
I know I kid around a lot, but it’s times like these when I feel it’s best for all of us to roll up our sleeves and do our part to help out our fellow man.
p.s. you will need to bring yer own party liquor and potted meat, although I wouldn’t worry about packing too much of it.Last edited: Sep 9, 2021

It's possible I have had it and was just asymptomatic. But otherwise, answer is no. To my knowledge I have not had it yet. My parents caught the first strain and it wasn't that big of a deal for them.
My younger brother, stationed in Japan supposedly caught that second strain, Delta or whatever. He said that was rough. He went in for the vaccine when it first came available out there. Even after that, he said he was close to going to the ER. For 1 day there when it was at its worst, he thought it might kill him. He's not the dramatic type, was actually kind of surprised to see him say that.
If he said that, well then I definitely don't want to catch it. -
I'm glad you're feeling better driver.

i really dont like the way the government is attempting to mandate and force this vax upon people. anytime the government attempts to mandate and force things upon us, i seriously question their motives. yesterday my mother-in-law had symptoms. she's waiting on results, she is fully vaxxed.
the government has successfully made everyone distrust anything covid related. -
Plenty of parking at Frank's place. At least the last time I was there.

Yes. We had 8 family members get it on vacation. I think all 12 had it but one group is lying……not sure why except the wife is an idiot. This included my 1.5 year old son and 10 year old daughter. 66 year old future mother in law with lots of comorbidities. Everyone was vaccinated except myself and the kids. We all had the same cold like symptoms, mainly congestion. We just took Mucinex to try to bring up the phlegm. Got it sometime around August 19. Tested positive August 28. Tested negative September 2. We still have residual congestion, but everyone has been back to normal since last week. I have sinus issues all year long so this isn’t anything different for me.

I had it more than a year and a half ago. February of 2020.
