In my freightliner my company has told me to get the bunk heater to stay on and warm properly you have to leave a light on. I just leave the sleeper floor light on and it has been working so far

What was the temp outside? Don’t they have is set so the truck can idle under a certain temp? For safety sake.

My truck will only idle at 15 or lower however the outside thermometer picks up the heat from the engine when its just idling so after 10 minutes it's reading a temp a lot higher than the outside and won't idle.

However my bunk heater works fine so long as I set it to 90. Any lower and it reaches temp to soon and shuts off requiring a restart.

Espar heaters are very simple. Service items are the igniter, igniter screen, and fuel filter. There’s a small hole in the igniter slot that needs to be cleared if it’s clogged. I serviced my D2 espar last week, took a total of 8 minutes.

My company will take the truck to thermoking but I ordered the parts myself, got reimbursed, and skipped the TK dealer altogether. Just like anything else, espar heaters require a little maintenance.

There are lots of videos on servicing these. I watched most of them and will save you the trouble. This is the only one you need.

Mine won’t idle for #### now. Single digits a few weeks ago in Nebraska and as newbie said the fix all is cranking that bunk heater all the way up lol

It was 21°. Mine won't idle unless it's single digits.

I haven't seen a truck with floor lights since Big G's KW..

None available. The TA in Mill City is going thru a remodel. No showers, no laundry, no hotel rooms.

A very unique situation I haven't experienced here before. I picked up this trailer off the PA yard last week. Took the load to Louisville, live unloaded and reloaded at the same location. Carried the reload to Reno, where I live unloaded. Now I am headed to Atwater, CA to live load a load going to Jacksonville, FL for another live unload next week. Then I am taking a week off. Butthead thought I was headed to Jax via Salt Lake City to get my heater fixed, but that adds like 300 miles to the load when I am going right there thru the DFW area and have enough time on the load to have Wilmer service my heater (maybe). Or else, I can have it done after I come back out from hometime. But I will be under this same trailer for over 14 days...which is nice because it's a decent air ride with a fairly quiet reefer.
