p.s. Just imagine how you’d feel if you were the dispatcher and you heard one of your drivers say “If I had a snow cone and my dispatcher wanted a bite, I’d bite out the bottom, suck out all the juice and hand it to him with nothing but the ice left!”. The horror!

Wouldn’t that be a hell of a thing to do to a man?

I think you need admin password to get into settings.

Anyway it's an invasion of privacy. No such thing as free speech anymore.

    Boondock Thanks this.

Put a piece of electric tape over the mic.

You have “free speech”. Say what you want. But, there’s also a thing called “at will”, meaning they can fire you if they don’t like what you say. Also means you can quit if you don’t like their monitoring of your communications.

Have you tried to turn it off? The company *might* not know about the setting. Might be a default setting. iPhones are like that as well as lot of the apps folks download. That’s why when you talk about couches, your phone will start popping up ads about couches. You have to go into the settings for each app and turn that feature off.

I say what’s true and real! I could care less if they're listening, my complaints are spot on and they know it. Most companies know drivers are going to ##### and moan. They expect it. It’s when they think they might get sued they find a way to get rid of you. Otherwise as long as you’re turning the wheels? Gripe all you want. Lol

There is also such a thing as invasion of privacy. If I'm parked in Sleeper Berth in the middle of my 10 HR break or 34 reset, why are they listening to my phone conversations?

Regarding the tablet, I shut off all the volume settings. Not sure if that turns off the Mic.

I’m not a lawyer and didn’t sleep in Holiday Inn Express last night so I’m not going to pretend to know the legalities concerning privacy expectations when in someone else’s vehicle.

I just assume if I’m not in the confines of my own home, I’m probably being watched, listened to and have the eyes of all the wormins on me. :)
