At what my cpm would be here, it would be less than what I am currently making...and if things slow in '24 where we might be sitting more, it would be an even bigger pay cut. Feels like a real gut punch.

At this point, I have no clue. I really haven't even been looking, but with things moving towards the Wylie way, maybe I should start getting serious about it.

I’m unloading crude now and can mess with this…

I found a casino that’s 24 hours in Park City that allows truck parking in the circled orange area per security. 316-768-2000 option 4 if you want to check my work.

Huh, I reran my numbers based on the last published pay schedule I could find. This is based on my numbers year to date, not including vacation pay or referral bonuses, these would be the same for all programs.
    Salary (my current program) $103,510
    CPM $96584
    Day rate $86,313

I was running the numbers because what I think is going to happen is everyone is going to CPM and the big bonuses for over 9900 miles are going to stop. They will most likely give a pay raise at the same time. For most(this a big assumption) of the fleet it will mainly be a wash. For those of us averaging 12k miles a month it will be a bit of a pay cut. Last year and this YTD the raise would
Need to be between 10 and 11cpm for me to come out even. At the end of the day I’m currently making 1.21 on all miles, still way better then I could do elsewhere.

This is purely speculation between drivers as to what may be happening in the future. It’s out of my control so I’m not going to stress over it.

$1.21/mi? I will be just over half of that per mile...and this is including the sign on bonus that was paid out along with all the accessorial pay like tarping, multi-stop pay and what little OD extra pay I had. And it also includes the performance bonus each month.

My spreadsheet is not quite “accurate”. The 1.21 is an average of the monthly averages. My bad.

actual number are $109829 on 97547 miles as of the end of last month. That’s 1.12 per mile. I should have double checked that number.

$21,870 in just additional od pay.
I also have 20 tarp loads, mostly od, and a few extra stops.

When I was in Santa Fe Springs last week, there were as many COTC trucks picking up as there were SPD trucks. Seems to becoming a Daseke customer instead of an SPD customer. The last COTC guy who came in, I had to flag him down because he parked in the entrance drive to check in with the neighbors instead of the TMX side. When I left, he was just digging out his padding and tarps. I made it to Park City, delivered, and went to the yard. Next morning, I was half loaded at Park City when he finally showed up to deliver. My truck only goes 3 mph faster than theirs, but I was almost 24 hours ahead of him...

Anybody run up here in northern NJ ever stay at the Lombardi service plaza? It says 10 hours max, strictly enforced, but how strict are they really? I know the reason might be that they are trying to keep the locals from using this as a drop yard but I got here at 14:45 and don't need to head out until 05:00 in the morning. So how do they keep track of how long your there, I haven't seen a cop since I got here...

You’ll have no problems especially being in the truck. You could even take a 34 there. You’ll see trucks being towed but those will be trucks left unattended for a few days or more.

Just don’t leave the truck unattended long and your fine…
