I work for a small private fleet in the Dallas area. 18 drivers. Omaha is as far north as we get but still have a few tittie babies here that are scared to death to head that way in the winter. Cracks me up!

I really wish companies would invest in at least halfway decent seats for their trucks. The seats in all the trucks I’ve had except for one haven’t been very great to put it nicely. The ones in this Peterbilt are particularly awful.

I couldn't agree more. As a company driver, I hate going northeast of DC into Jersey and especially out in the island...but I go because our primary customers have delivery customers there, and they pay my paycheck. If I were like you and had to pay all the expenses, then I might be less ambitious about going up there, but as a company driver, sometimes you just have to suck it up and do the job...or quit and go somewhere else that avoids that part of the world.

Fleet spec on a seat is normal for a carrier like yours. Invest in a good seat cover and call it a day. You’d of loved the comfort of old cab over spring rides with the spring seats. You’d think that Pete was a cream puff then.

Only load I’ve ever rejected was with FCC and it was a broker load out of California. Broker wanted me to download some tracker on my phone. I said “thanks, but no thanks”. If you can’t trust me to get your load from point A to point B, I’m not hauling your load. It’s as simple as that
