    Dang, that’s a lot of work just to juggle a truck between drivers. So you end up with a different truck after every hometime? I’d hate that. They used to swap my green truck out every year but at least I was upgrading to a new truck. Here at FCC you normally get a new (or newer) truck and it’s stays yours until it’s traded out.

    sounds like DH might be stumbling into other issues if equipment is being shared and swapped every month. Worth watching.

    I called Danny Herman up when I was looking around, before coming here, and left two messages and didn’t even get a return call. I guess a lead on a possible future driver wasn’t worth their time. (Even if they weren’t hiring at the moment, develop a contact and keep the fish on the hook or to follow up with in the future.)

    NEVER use your hands on a 5th wheel plate unless you like stitches. If grease is being pushed off the front or the sides of the 5th wheel, than there is too much grease on it, simple as that. I grease mine every 2 weeks and there is no piles of grease on the slider or bubbling out on the edges. It doesn't take much to do the job.

    Just wanna pass along my appreciation to the low grade that dropped 7482 at BD in Plainfield ind with a mud flap gone ...karma will get you .

    I just scoop it up in a old plastic 44oz soda cup save it until it's full then wipe on my drive tires and do burn outs.

    But.... you are also pulling the same trailer Tony. When you're slapping iron on 2-3, sometimes as many as 5 different trailers in one day dropping and hooking on the regional fleets, you're picking up/delivering usually every day. All those different trailers have grease all over em.. so what you're saying doesn't really apply to what we do.

    Yup not sure whats going on here but i think there struggling bad. I resigned today cleaning out truck now leaving out tomorrow morning with a rental.
    I was told dont need to put in a 2 week notice. I'm at one of there main terminals now. will take a video proof of my truck when i leave tomorrow morning. Covering my butt 100%. Not on a load, Told no notice needed, And drop off location is good. all with proof ;)
    Also put in a app with fcc they say everything looks good just waiting on employment verification.

    Back during the Great Recession, USXpress did something similar. They told drivers a) you can go team b) you can lease a truck from us or c) you can leave the truck here and we will provide transportation for you to get home. I was at Crete at the time and they had something like 8 or 9 former USXpress drivers in that weeks orientation class.
