I created two separate threads because the right-hand turn scenario is a different scenario than the left-hand turn scenario. Each scenario has a more focused discussion with separate threads. Some people are not very descriptive when they talk/write about things, and it would have been ambiguous whether they were writing about the left-hand turn or the right-hand turn if I combined both turns into the same thread. Isn't clarity and focus more important than the number of threads created?

Numerous people have condemned truck drivers who deliberately stop in the middle of the street to make left-hand turns, but so far, nobody has condemned truck drivers who deliberately stop in the middle of the street to make right-hand turns. This is indicative that these are two DISTINCT scenarios.

You didn't write anything about deliberately stopping in the middle of the street on the right-hand turn from Dayton Blvd to Ashland Terrace. Do you ever have to intentionally stop in the middle of the street like I did when you made that turn?

@Savor the Flavor Please answer the OP of this thread and give your thoughts on drivers who deliberately stop in the middle of the street they are making a right turn onto.

Don't know if this pic took, in turning lane for over an hour so far because they don't want to walk to security and find a place on the side to park. There is plenty of parking available.
So if your wondering what they think about blocking traffic just think this is thier normal everyday thing.

    Michelin tires?!

That is truly bad arse. You and I could team up and block traffic for miles, rolling on the interstate, taking videos of each others Billy Big Rigs, at 63mph.

Belt buckles, fingerless gloves, the whole 9 yards.

I'm late to the party as usual. Oh well.

First, no, I have never done this. I did other really dumb things when I was a rookie, but I'm not going to share the details here. I'll wait until you start a thread about it and then carefully consider whether I want to admit it.

Second, the only places where it might have been a problem were oddball places where I went when I was pulling open deck, places that did not normally either ship or receive loads regularly. Delivering a steel building in a residential neighborhood, for example. There was always someone else there with a safety vest and/or a pickup with beacons who could stop traffic for me. I have never gone to a place with a tanker or a van or a reefer that didn't have a way for me to get in and out safely. Yes, I've had to block a street while backing into a dock a few times, but that's not what you asked. (So now you have my answer for that thread, if you haven't already asked that.)

    Third, you said
No, law enforcement will most likely hold you entirely responsible for the wreck. In other words, you will almost certainly be cited, and (one would hope) lose your CDL. Your liability in a civil suit might be shared with the van driver in the earlier example, but DOT will hold you accountable for impeding traffic. At least, I certainly hope so. And I hope that any cop who saw you doing this would do his best to block traffic for you, then pull you over down the road and give you a ticket even if there was no wreck.

Fourth, your ignore list and mine don't seem to overlap at all. Funny, that.

The only people on my ignore list are trolls that make sarcastic comments all the time and don't contribute anything at all.
