Believe it or not, there were trucking companies for a century before the internet. I knew friends and family working for trucking companies and asked them questions, and then family and friends told me the questions I ought to ask are A, B, and C.
You can also look at the company names of trucks & trailers that park in your area and then use an internet search for a map of trucking companies in your area and make phone calls. I'm not the most introverted person in the world, but I am on the list. I would rather run over myself than make a phone call, but I learned talking to someone on the phone almost never leads to my bursting into flames<sarcasm>.
Under 30s can't have conversations, provide the same customer service as a fence post, and ANY obstacle is enough to shut them down or make them stop trying. I had to learn how to pretend to be normal, I didn't like it. Others can learn it also. I watched old TV programs and that's one way I learned not to act like a maniac or speed bump around people. I would prefer to act like a 5 year old where screaming or throwing things should produce the results I want. It doesn't work. Nobody is coming to my rescue. Everyone has obstacles, almost everyone learns how to operate in the world if they will just stop repeating their favorite excuse 24/7 and keeping their eyes closed or glued to their phone.Space Truckin Thanks this. -
Thank you both for confirming my suspicions. I can also add my $0.02. I had never experienced this either before (as I applied to bigger companies when starting out) however recently when I inquired with a local smaller company I met, this was what he asked for right out of the gate as well. I did not even put in an application, he just asked me to send over a photo of license and medical card. I trusted that guy, seemed like decent outfit running nice glider kit trucks locally, ran into several of their guys pulling bulk out of same silos as I was the last year or so.
Now today I am speaking to Caracas Transportation, Inc. who I am maybe a little less sure about (because Chicagoland 1099), however research so far makes them seem to me at least halfway legit, and along with feedback from this thread I guess I will go ahead and send it over.
I still think OP is trolling, however there is still value in this thread for those of us who know how to use the search function. -

Yeah, go to the DMV say you lost your CDL somewhere and need a replacement.

Your license number still won't change. It's not the same as blocking a credit card and getting a new one issued.
