    Got my chauffeurs license in 1970 at 16 years old..back then students could drive a school bus in North Carolina....while attending high school

    Good lord, that makes me feel really old...I had already turned over 2 million miles before you took your first lesson...in fact, I was driving a chicken truck while you were still wearing pampers.

    I am not quite old enough to remember trucks with more than one shift lever thru the floor, but I have logged a few miles with a Mack that only had 5 forward gears and no air ride anything(as in no air ride seats, cab or suspension), but it did have air assist steering.

    When another driver accuses me of being a "new breed" driver over the cb because I don't do things like he does, I "politely" tell him that I probably have underwear with more seat time than him, and he can shove his "new breed" bs where he has room for it, if he can figure out how to pull his head out of there first.
