I was already running against the clock to begin with (my fault for not setting an alarm and not leaving town until 10 am this morning) then got caught up in stand still traffic in KC due to a wreck, and i’ll probably get to play with morning rush hour in STL tomorrow. Appointment is at 1120 but i’ll be lucky if i get there by noon.

At least i’m not running egregiously late.

Also like @zodiacflyer said, this trailer has some nasty smelling #### in it. I thought paper mills smelled. I don’t think the unloaders at the receiver will be very thankful when i eventually show up

Oh well, #### happens i guess. Definitely won’t be the first time a load is late somewhere

They won't even notice it...they work at a feed mill on a hog farm. The building they are in already smells like rancid diarrhea and unwashed feet soaked in cat piss.

i wouldn’t have the stomach for that. I can barely stand some paper mills. I almost threw up over whatever’s in the back of this trailer…another reason why i’m running late. I’m still wretching occasionally, it was that bad

But i’ll save you guys from talking about the play by play of that whole situation

As a company driver do you guys have a choice of an auto or manual truck? I think I’m set up to come up to FCC on Jan. 3rd. for orientation. Recruiter said I’ll be with a long haul guy for training. I’m looking forward to it. Don’t know how long I’m supposed to pack for. Any ideas??

    Silverdriver and Knucklehead Thank this.

There are still a few 10 speeds around, but yes... all the new trucks are going to be automated.

I would bring at least seven days worth of clothing. Also bring some winter attire especially a jacket if you have one…

    Some days I just wonder.
But I pass my physical test here! Yep! Afterwards I need it recovery time. It was more than a foot over!
