When is the state of Kentucky going to stock Lake Flying J in Oak Grove?

Home empty, going to pick up next Monday as previously stated.

Wouldn't want to be around that area if it's like that in mid-summer. I bet the skeeters will be so thick you could breathe them

If you’re not already, I’d start tracking DEF consumption so that way you know if it’s a seasonal (cold weather) increase or if you’re starting to have sensor issues.

Just fueled up for under $2.50/gallon with discount. Diesel is insanely cheap in Oklahoma. That's where I try to get my fuel if possible.

The hook in Joplin was also pretty cheap. $2.51/gallon i believe when I fueled up

For you fellers running through Joplin, Big Apple is the pro move. It’s very clean, the lot is enormous, with spaces to match, and the Indian food is insanely good. Highly recommend!

My wife and I don't care much for Indian food so I would pass on it much prefer Thai/cambodian/japanese/Philippines curry and jasmine rice over Indian rice and food.

Got a load going from NM to Denver. Stopped an hour short as I’m not seeing many parking options ahead of me.

Parked with several other Drivers (7?) on the street next to a QT that is already parked full. Went in to grab a sandwich and some tea and then asked if they knew if they enforced the “No Parking on the Street”. The guy didn’t know or didn’t want to say. Ok, thanks. :)

I then asked him if they (QT) enforced their “No Overnight Parking” per their Signs. “Yes, I think they do” was the reply. I bet you get several angry reviews from Truckers on that. “I’m not the one that has to deal with those” was the reply. (They are parked full so they will be booting 10+ drivers if they do… plus 7 on the Street too)

So I guess we will see if LEO comes knocking tonight. Not sure of a Plan B if they do. Everything is parked full around here and not much between here and Denver.

    {shrug}

Oh, and they only offer Paper Bags not those nice plastic QT bags that fit my trash can perfectly. And they charge you Ten Cents if you want a Paper Bag too… lol

    Gotta Love Denver!!! … :)

    stay safe

    Welcome Back!!! :)

As to Van Wert, as mentioned, pretty easy in/out.

Signs says No Parking but I’ve taken a 10 there twice on their Lane outside their Gate and no one said a word.

But if you don’t have a reload prior to unload, they will boot you off their Yard… lol ;-) … so don’t plan to camp out on-site if you are waiting for your next load.

oh, and they are pretty nice folks in general. Just picky about hanging out there too long.

    stay safe
