Thanks. Makes me glad to know. But I suspect it’s going to hurt my wallet. Lol. Probably end up with Verizon then.

They are deadheading me from Hermiston back to Salt Lake to pick up to go to West Jefferson, Ohio… 588 mile deadhead

Knucklehead and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

I swear the peelots and flying j in some areas jam cell signals.
DonRobbie and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Verizon is the only service that works where we live. We used their jetpacks for internet until Starlink came here. Funny thing is that two of the towns next to us, we get no cell signal whatsoever.
Verizon was the first provider I had that would work across 80 in WY. Sure there are dead spots, but they are few. I think for a trucker, Verizon will do the best job.hope not dumb twucker and Lonwolv54 Thank this. -

Change of plans (sorta). Once I got the load out of OR delivered in Geneva, IL, I headed to the new drop yard (new to me), got the load picked up, and stopped at the Pilot to top off the reefer since it was a drop/hook. As I was pulling out, I get a series of messages, 1 - unplanned on my Morris - Ontario load. Then a preplan. At first, I was about to go ballistic. They waited until after I picked up the short run to pull the long run off of me. But someone named Kyle called (not sure if he is a dispatcher or planner). He explained that the shipper cancelled the load, and wondered if I was gonna be able to do the preplan. I explained that I had only had a chance to glimpse at it while at a redlight and that I would look at it once I got this short load to it's consignee. Once I got there, they wanted me to head into WI (180 mile deadhead) and pu by 8, but also had to get a washout. It was pushing 1600, so I said no way with having to go thru Chicagoland afternoon traffic AND get a washout, not a chance. He got the load pu time pushed out until up to 2300, the sooner the better. So now my 14 will be an issue because this shipper is out in the sticks. You get to BFE and hang a left. I managed to get here by 20:50. The load is going to Denton for any time Wednesday. So honestly, it works out better because with the deadhead, it's an 1100 mile run that I can get delivered and scanned in mid week. It will put me just over 3200...then, they preplanned me on a load out of Dallas Wednesday afternoon going to Ontario, CA for an anytime drop on Sunday. (Instead of the earlier Ontario CA load which was a live unload). So, even though at first it seemed like I got screwed, they actually made it work out better...so, if they keep this up, I might end up with an @drvrtech77 type month.
