I’m afraid to tell you about it across that stretch of highway. It’s most likely foreign drivers because one of those trucks that rolled over was an Amazon truck…

Don’t large companies negotiate fuel purchases with the suppliers by the millions of gallons thus making the posted price null and void?

Maybe they are negotiating the fuel without tax and paying the tax later? Either way it makes me grateful to never have had to adhere to any sort of fuel solution. Top off at any Loves or Pilot/Flying J as a secondary….easy pee zee. Every brand has locations that I absolutely will not go too for any reason. Like the truck stops in Florence Kentucky where you’re looking at an hour minimum to exit and get back on the highway.

PFG in Temple has set a personal unload fee record for me. 17 pallets, $520, and Shaffer didn't blink an eye. Got my express code in less than 3 min.

This new asset manager I have who came from Werner according to him obviously likes to operate like he’s still at Werner… I have told him multiple times this week. I don’t have the hours legally to make this delivery by Sunday night and he d just continues to blow me off and make excuses… I’ll be in Lincoln in just a couple of hours. Looks like I’m gonna have to get management involved… Never once that I ever have this issue with my prior asset manager Ryan… Not once…

While the sign price doesn’t matter, prices vary significantly between locations. Keep in mind that companies negotiate with the truckstop chains and the chains have to negotiate with their suppliers to get the fuel. If they’re pulling more fuel than they thought from one area and not enough from another they will raise the prices at some locations and lower them at another to drive sales and run more gallons through where they are short, while still making their price point to the carriers.
