Usa truck is a good company for a new driver who has no other option available to him/her. The acceptable weekly average miles is 1800. I was a west coast driver and the average trip was between 500 and 800 miles with only two or three trips a week. More often than not I would get a trip for around 700 miles with three days to do it. The appointments couldn't be changed so I found myself waiting for days at a time. Waiting is typical in this industry but waiting for days is not.
Something else I wanted to throw out is that your field manager will abbreviate every word on your qualcomm to the point where you will not be able to understand what in the #$#! they are trying to tell you. The first several weeks I asked my field manager and others to spell it out so I could understand and then I was treated as though I was an idiot. When they finally started spelling the words it became clear to me what was going on. They could not spell. They also seem to have no basic reasoning capacities. More often than not they would give me the wrong pick up or delivery address and when I told them their main response would be "well, I don't know what to tell ya".
Bottom line, these are the biggest ### backwards ignorant hillbillies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Just like "texting" on a cell phone, it depends on what plan you pay for on QuallCom. USA Truck is obviously being charged for each "character" (letter, number, etc... each individual typed space).....so everyone within the company has been told to keep messages to a minimum, by abbreviating and "less than" clever substitutions, to save money.

If you can't read what they abbreviate on the QC, how did you even pass the CDL written test? It isn't that hard to decipher what the FM is talking about...
goodchoice10 Thanks this. -
Wow, yer reeley smart. Maybe not if you are an illiterate and write the same way.
The CDL test was written in proper ENGLISH or do they spell it in Hillbilly for you Arkansas folks with a sixth grade education? If they (the field managers) were smart enough to use shorthand, a recognized abbreviation vocab, someone like myself could figure it out.
What makes me think you are a hillbilly? Because educated people do not use the words "Cipher" and "decipher". That went away with the Beverly Hillbilly's. Jethro Bodeen was the expert cipherin hillbilly. -
whuss amatter u no spek hilbily? Hilabily is eas'n 2 cipher ifn u reel bak woodsy.

You obviously are not very educated by reading your posts. Seems you cannot control your anger and can't keep your mouth shut haha. And I'm guessing the little Arkansas joke was towards me? Because I'm not from AR.
DO U NED 2 B CENTR OF ATTN?
CAN U READ THIS?
THIS IS HOW MY FM TLKS. ANYBDY CAN FIGUR IT OUT.
I GOT MY LD 2DAY, U HAV NO LD BCUZ U QUIT.

well got to but my 2 cents in! Well Hillbilly or not I have learned just being here for awhile that if you keep your mouth shut run your load be on time pick up and deliverys then your fine you get your miles! But if you complain are a ****hole do not make your PU(had to add that) or deliverys then yes you are not going to get miles you are going to sit! I keep my mouth shut take the little runs as long as my wheels are moving then i am making money! As far as the spelling goes they abrevate on the Qulecom if your smart enough you can understand it thats not a hillbilly thing! Do you understand what MT means?
-
There are about 155 different abbreviations for MT. They should act profesional, not like little texting middle school girls. It just means they can't spell, obviously.
