2-3 months of operating costs outside of buying your equipment.

Dedicated accounts for fuel, maintence, insurance etc

60 days of funding gives you a little wiggle room to save your ### before you go belly up.

What year truck, how many miles a week, how often are you buying fuel, how much. How often are you eating. Are you paying tolls?

    So many factors dude.

Basically break it down like an expense accountant would.

Factor in everything in your life. $25,000

I would recommend 1st year's full operating expense before starting, like plates and permits paid full, estimated maintenance fully funded, insurance paid full equipment paid full or at least have the 1st years payments set aside for that, full year's worth of cost of living set aside in bank as well. When running the business try to set aside the next year's full operating expense again. I am still leased onto a carrier because I don't have that full year's cushion yet.

So tell me, scottie, how much would you have to run for to rathole that much money? Sounds like $6/mile to me. Probably easier to be born rich

    $25 - $50k.

You won't get revenue rolling in for 30 - 90 days, and have to cover everything in the meantime.

If you post some estimates of what you're proposing here folks can be a little more helpful.

I would be comfortable with 10k after I'm up and running.
