Hello,

If you don't mind my asking, what is the starting pay at Magnum? I'm looking at them and another ND company. The other one *was* looking pretty promising, but their starting pay is pretty poor for an experienced driver.

 

I believe experienced drivers start at $0.40 for the first 4 months or trimester. Following that you move to performance pay which takes into account your last 4 moths average monthly milage, your fuel efficiency, safety and on time deliveries. This will set your next trimesters pay per mile and can go as high as $0.50, typically l believe is $0.48, others can check that.

 

I started at .42 a mile 9 months ago. 4 months after that I got a raise. Then 2 months after that got another raise. I have 26 years experience

 

She definitely can do that.

Can't tell from the poor picture, but she is high maintenance. She's got custom fenders and paint. She wanted new cams and her heads have been ported and polished. She's got Performance Machine chrome wheels and rotors.

She is a very expensive girl!

 

I think it's up to 6 years experience (maybe it's 8 yrs) they start at .41, over that they start at .42.

How did you get a 2nd raise so soon? (Not that I will qualify, I think my raise was a more a gift than a what I earned, but I will accept it none the less)

 

My load to Oregon canceled before I came back so Matt had Jeremy grab me a load.

It was a pickup in Union City, TN. I left home yesterday headed there.

An hour before I got to Memphis, Jeremy calls and asks me where I'm at.
He tells me I need to go to Baxter Healthcare in Memphis to do a live load because something is wrong with the hinges on one of our drop trailers that they have.

That was an understatement. The driver side trailer door was completely torn off the hinges and was laying in the back of the trailer.

Found a nice place to make camp I Canton, MO at an Ayerco.

Baxter spent some of my driving time for me and I didn't have time to make it to the Flying J. Good news for me!

This place is much higher nicer, immaculately clean $3.00 showers and a Steak & Shake to boot.

 

The trims terms was up

It was the end of the trimester 2 months after the initial 4 month eval

 

But worth it I'm sure!
